Well, where did twenty ten go guys??? and here it is almost February!! It surely has been a cold winter and being from Savannah and a child of the sun, I can truly say enough is enough, BRING ON SPRING AND SUMMER!  I'm sure most of you feel the same!

Well, 2011 has already been such an exciting, busy year for me, how about you?  I will update you on the baby, Sarah is almost 10 months old!!  She is talking and attempting to walk and into everything.  This has been by far the most fun we have had with her yet!  Here are a few recent pics for you guys:

They get big so fast don't they!  Sarah will be one year old in April!  We are so happy and could not imagine life without this little darling!

I went to my first "Buy Local" Meeting this month.  Q105.3 FM is an active member and sponsor of the "Buy Local" Program.  For those of you that don't know Buy Local group of local businesses that have united to promote a philosophy.  It is up to us as citizens of Savannah and the Coastal Empire to make our friends and other local businesses aware of the many benefits of spending your dollars locally, with local businesses.

When you spend your money with a local business it is proven to multiply 4 times over within the community.  As a radio personality for the only locally owned station in this market, I have seen this philosophy in action for years.  If anyone is interested about Buy Local or becoming a member of buy local, please visit the website for details:

On another note, who do you think will win the Super Bowl?  I am always a fan of the Underdog and so I want the Packers to win the SuperBowl.  While I have nothing against the Steelers, I feel like the Green Bay Packers are the underdog in this situation.  I also think the quarterback, Aaron Rogers is great and would love to see him lead the Packers to a win.

Well, that is all for now guys, see y'all on the radio!

It's been a while since my last post because I had a beautiful baby girl named Sarah Elizabeth Snipes.

She came into this huge world on April 16th, 2010 at 7am sharp!

As you can see Sarah loves bathtime and getting her hair done by mommy!

Sarah enjoys watching TV on the couch so we are currently doing the "Your Baby Can Read" series and she LOVES it.

As far as music goes I am really into the band from Dublin known as "The Script".  We already play "Breakeven" on the Q but I also like the song "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" you can listen to it by clicking HERE

Another tune I'm really into (thanks to the Jerr-ster) is by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros...it's called "Home" Click HERE to listen.

On another note... I'm headed back to class for fall semester at Savannah State University where I am majoring in Marketing...(former English major at AASU).  Classes begin August 12th and I couldn't be more excited after sitting out a semester to have my beautiful, bouncing baby girl!!

I love my new major at Savannah State.  While I do love English and will always have an appreciation for literature, Marketing seems to be "where it's at".  Who doesn't need Marketing?  NO ONE...that's right..everyone needs a little Marketing in their life!

Until next time peeps..

And a message from Smarty Jones & Smokey Snipes (two rescue cats)

Well, Saint Patrick's Day in Savannah  has certainly arrived and with good weather I might add!  Downtown Savannah is busting with green EVERYWHERE !!!

Saint Paddy's Day falls on a Wednesday this year which means there's going to be an entire week (2 weekends) to partay so GET YOUR GREEN ON!  Just remember to do it safely and don't drink and drive...there are plenty of services around the city that will give you a ride for free or next to nothing!

Here are a couple of my current favorite hits:

John Mayers "Heartbreak Warfare"  Check it out on myspace:

Some say the song is a reflection of his relationship with Jennifer Aniston and he neither confirms or denies this in his interview in the February 2010 edition of Playboy Mag.  Some think the interview is a little "over the top" but if you have actually read the interview, you know it's not.  He is just being real.  What's wrong with that?  As far as his comments about Jessica Simpson, some would say they were "complimentary" not derogatory.

In the same issue of Playboy Mag, you'll find a great article on the true founder of the Rolling Stones:  Brian Jones.  The article gives you a glimpse of who Brian really was and how talented he was.  It is a sad article but one that any Rolling Stones fan should read.  After reading it, my perception of the band has definitely changed but I still rank them number one in my favorite bands of all time.

Another great song that is new to the music scene is by a band called The Script.  The song is "Breakeven" and you can listen to it via myspace by clicking the link below:

Lastly, here is a picture of my beloved "rescued from an alley" cat Smokey
