Hi Everybody,
We're still trying to get a handle on the verdict in the Casey Anthony case. What case were those jurors watching? Which brings us to the big question..does our jury system still work? We have professional Judges, professional lawyers and amateur jurors. You know, many European countries have professional jurors. It might be time to take a look at that.
Major League Baseball's All Star game is Tuesday. We usually look forward to the Midsummer Classic. This year not so much. 16 elected players are not going to the game and only 4 of those are not going because they're on the disabled list. After what he did this weekend wouldn't if have been great to see Derek Jeter in the game? He's not going. How about the greatest relief pitcher of all time, Mariano Rivera? Not going..and the list goes on and on.
Congratulations to the US Women's World Cup soccer team. What a game on Sunday!!! Good luck in the semis on Wednesday.
Didn't see quite as many people at the beach this weekend but the jellyfish were out in force...be careful out there!!
Have a great week everybody and let me know what you think...

What a 4th. Don't know how things went on River St...but Tybee Sunday night was spectacular. Now the question is..for those of you stuck in the traffic jam going back home..was it worth it? And how many of those folks stuck in the Highway 80 traffic were saying.."When are they goinp to 4 lane this thing?"
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" fans..the show is back this Sunday night July 10th on HBO.
Jellyfish are out and about..little early this season. And saw a young soldier get stung by a Man of War. Very unusual for Tybee waters. And this makes a jellyfish sting look like a walk in the park.
How does CC Sabathia get left off the AL All star team? Looks like Texas Ranger manager and All Star manager Ron Washington was playing favorites with his own guys
Beach was packed..especially on Sunday. And how lucky were we that it was an outgoing tide? It would not have been pleasant the other way around.
Keep on Rockin',

Hi Everybody,
A couple of great ones gone this week.
First Peter Falk..TV's "Colombo"..I don't know about you but that might be my favorite TV show ever, with the lead role brilliantly acted by Falk. He was one of a kind.
Nick Charles lost his long battle with Cancer over the weekend. Remember when Sports TV first started,it wasn't only ESPN but CNN,too. Sports Tonight was hosted by Fred Hickman and Nick Charles. And it was as good as if not better than anything on ESPN. Fred Hickman is still on TV doing some Braves post game stuff. Since leaving CNN Charles had been working his first love..Boxing. And he was great at it. Just a few months ago he gave a farewell performance on a Showtime boxing show.
Are you sick of the Casey Anthony trial yet? So much time given to this sociopath.
And finally..next time you're at the Drive-through specify that your order is to go...and do it with a straight voice. We've got to take our fun wherever we can get it!!
Have a great week everybody...
