Hello Everybody,

Hope you had a great Holiday and if you're still eating leftovers your Turkey was too big.

The 'Dawgs, 10-2, raise your hand if you saw that coming. LSU a really big favorite on Saturday but stranger things have happened. Either way it's looking like a LSU-Alabama rematch in the BCS title game.

Ndamukong Suh the dirtiest player in the game and it didn't take him long. His suspension for the boot in the face trick should come down soon.

Saw Lady GaGa's special on HBO...not for me... but the monsters love her.

Is anyone surprised that the Super Commitee came up with nothing. These guys and gals do not work for anyone but themselves.

Love cats... and dogs too. The Q cat Smarty Jones kind of runs the show at the bungalow and have cats and dogs at home..the only thing with cats is when they go after birds and squirrels. . John Henry is one of the oldest cats at the house. He's 16 and not in the best of shape..we thought. But somehow he caught a squirrel. Heard the squealing and there was John with the baby in his mouth. Luckily we got there in time and now we've added Rocky the Squirrel to the menagarie. I'll keep you posted on how he's doing. Anyone have any tips on squirrel care?

Caught up on some movies On Demand over the weekend. "Bridesmaids" funny.."Hall Pass" not so much.

Hello Everybody,

SEC!! SEC!! SEC!! The top 3 teams in the country, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, come from one conference and as a matter of fact from one division...the SEC West. And then we have the champs of the SEC East...The Georgia Bulldogs. The 'Dawgs have won 9 in a row, with the Jackets up next. Win that and see what happens in Atlanta and who knows what might happen. Remember when we were worried about there were so many unbeaten teams. Well now we have two left..LSU and Houston. The Cougars are a nice story but they have no shot of playing in the BCS title game. And after this weekend with Oklahoma State, Oregon, Oklahoma and Clemson all going down, there aren't that many one loss teams left..so could a two loss team make that title game? Wouldn't that be something!!

How lucky are we? The Sunday before Thanksgiving turns out to be a beach day and there were a bunch of folks on Tybee yesterday and it was beautiful!!

It's Tebow time!! How amazing is this guy...he can't throw but he sure can win..4 out of 5 as the Bronco's starter.

And speaking of amazing, how about Tony Stewart? He wins 5 out of 10 in the Chase including the final at Homestead. It was Nascar's finest moment.

So Newt is the latest flavor of the month and another debate comes up Tuesday..what fun. It's real life Survivor or maybe more like Ted Mack's Original Amateur Hour..

Have a great week everybody...

Hello Everybody,

What a week. What hasn't been said about the sexual child abuse case at Penn State? The University with a wonderful group of students, alumni, employees and some administrators. But the administrators who counted, in this case, chose to look the other way. The best they could come up with for accused molester, Jerry Sandusky, was.."don't do it here". Don't bring little boys on campus. You see this cover up wasn't a case of...."what did they know and when did they know it?" They all knew...they had to. Yes, Joe Paterno was a great coach..maybe the best ever. But in this case he was an abject failure. Say it ain't so Joe, but he can't. Paterno has become the face of it but I'm afraid the depth and breadth of this cover up will shock us when it all comes out. They should all be ashamed. The image of the University became more important than the welfare and safety of their children.

On to a happier subject....How 'bout them 'Dawgs. I told everyone I could that the 13 point line on the Auburn game was bogus. No way Georgia could cover. But they did and much more. It was their finest moment of the season. And where are the Mark Richt haters now? That 0-2 start has morphed into an 8-2 record and the 'Dawgs are one win away from an SEC East title. And maybe, in fact, they can be competitive with the SEC West  winner.

With all the hoopla over College Football the College Basketball season has snuck up on us. The opening game, the Carrier Classic, played on the deck of the US Carl Vinson. The game, between #1 North Carolina and Michigan State, was a side bar to the amazing venue. And during that game, Dick Vitale with a shout out to Hilton Head's Curry Kirkpatrick. You might remember Curry from his days with SI along with CBS and ESPN.Curry gave Vitale some info on Bruce Hornsby singing the National Anthem before a UNC game. Anyway Curry is  currently recovering from back surgery and we wish him well. And next to our buddy Aaron Levy, Curry is the biggest Tar Heel fan we know. Get well soon.

The good vibes still flowing from the Rock 'N Roll Marathon. It was a great event for the City and the participants. The Competitor Group did a wonderful job putting this event on. Now we don't want to be put a wet blanket on the proceedings, but we do have a question. What expenses did the Competitor Group take care of and what did the City and/or the Chamber of Commerce take care of? Millions of dollars were made from runners sign up fees and from sponsors. We're guessing this money went to the Competitor Group for putting on the event, as well it should, but we're just wondering who paid for what? The tax payers(us) or the Competitor Group?

Let me know what you're thinking and have a great week...

Jerry
