Hello Everybody,

Signs, Signs...everywhere a sign...It's Political season and the signs are everywhere. At Tybee with 16 or so candidates running it makes for bunches of signs on that very small Island. However found out last week although Political signs are just fine not so with yard sale signs, those are just not allowed. A neighbor had a yard sale sign on her truck parked on Highway 80 and the Police came and said the sign had to go. You can put a yard sale sign in your own yard and that's about it. Is Tybee trying to become the new Hilton Head?

Although he hasn't won a major, right now, Luke Donald is the best golfer on the planet. He proved it again yesterday with an amazing performance in the Disney classic. He will win the PGA player of the year title.

Has there ever been a bigger regular season SEC game than the November 5th LSU-Alabama battle? Probably not..but right now our sights are set on Georgia-Florida Saturday in Jacksonville. This could and should be the year.

Kudos to Savannah Christian. Big win for the Raiders over Calvary and hopefully this will be their year to go all the way.

Lot's more people are starting to get in the conversation about the condition of the gateways into Savannah. With all the candidates running for different offices sure would like to hear one of them say something about this.

Still can't get over Albert Pujols on Saturday night...he is the Machine!!

Like the job Zooey Deschannel did on the National Anthem before last night's World Series game. Also nice touch with former President Bush throwing out the first pitch to Rangers President and Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan. By the way Ryan showed he was a great pitcher and not a catcher.

So just when we started wondering where are the upsets this season....up jumped Michigan State and Texas Tech to beat Wisconsin and Oklahoma. The way they started the Sooners must have thought the game was still in a weather delay. And the Badgers just got "Flutied"..what a play.

And after yesterday you have to think Tim Tebow is in fact The Chosen One. And the Miami Dolphins, Indy Colts and St. Louis Rams are trying hard to win the Luck sweepstakes.

See you at the Jewish Food Festival this Sunday in Forsyth Park.

Let me know what you're thinking and have a great week everybody..

Hello Everybody,

It was a lovely weekend and you know in Politically Incorrect times we would have called this Indian Summer. But folks real Fall weather is on the way later this week.

The 'Dawgs continue to win and continue to be umimpressive in doing so. They're now in the Top 25 but it's time to use the bye week to learn how to close teams out. Is this the year the 'Dawgs get the Gators? It's now or never...

Such sad news about Indy Car driver Dan Wheldon. Hopefully that sport will enact the safety measures that Nascar took after the death of Dale Earnhardt.

Herman Cain the new flavor of the month in the GOP. Where is this headed? Probably right where it started with Mitt Romney.

So does anyone care about the NBA lockout? Not really..we've got Football and Baseball. The owners and players are making a huge PR blunder here. Another case of the billionaires battling the millionaires and the difference between this and the NFL... we just don't care. Maybe if we miss that Christmas day doubleheader things will change.

Nice new News set for the  folks at WJCL/Fox28 in their new location on Chatham Parkway.

Don't have a handle on the Occupy movement that's spreading around the country. But one thing is for sure the natives are getting restless. People are not happy about things in Washington and elsewhere.

Let me know what you're happy or unhappy about....

Hello Everybody,

Happy Columbus Day..In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue..and you know the rest of the story.

How about this weather? So beautiful and then Friday came. It's been wet and windy for four days now..more than windy at Tybee. Gale warnings in effect and you haven't been able to get near the beach. My son and daughter-in-law came in from Chicago for the weekend hoping to get a little sun and surf. That didn't happen and they kept reminding me that it was 85 and sunny in Chicago.

With family in town played tourist yesterday and one of the trips was to the Jepson Center...it's just magnificent. Check out the Alter ego exhibit..very different. And downtown Savnnah was busy yesterday, hopefully things are starting to turn around.

The more I hear John Smoltz doing color during the playoffs the more I'm convinced that he is fast becoming one of the best around.

And speaking of color guys how does Craig James have a job? Awful doesn't describe him. He brings nothing to the table.

The 'Dawgs continue to right the ship although we're still looking for that lights out win..but they keep letting people get back into games. Vandy is next and then will this be the year to beat the Gators? Tech and GSU keep winning but not either teams most impressive outing.

How did the Falcons blow that 2 TD lead? The SI cover jinx lives on. It looks like the Tim Tebow era is underway in Denver. And the Jack DelRio and Tony Sporano era's are just about over in Jacksonville and Miami respectively. And by the way how did both these franchises pass on Tebow. At the least he would have put fannies in the seats and both cities could use that.

Is your lawn messy and over grown? Well you continue to take a back seat to the entrance ways to our beautiful city. That continues to be a disgrace...somebody do something..please!!

Hope everyone who was involved had an easy fast for Yom Kippur and best wishes to everyone for a Happy New Year...

Have a great week and let me know what you think!!

Jerry
