Hello Everybody,
Out of town over the Holiday's in South Florida. As warm as it was here you can imagine how nice it was down there.
I do love Miami..an exciting International city. Always something to do.
The water was great but the beach can't compare to Tybee. Those of you who've been to South Florida beaches know there just isn't much beach.
One of the best parts of the trip...tickets to the Miami Heat opening game vs. the Celtics. It was an event. And this team is deep. Would be very surprised if they didn't go all the way this year. They've only been beaten once this season, by the Atlanta Hawks.
Still can't get over the 'Dawgs bowl game loss to Michigan State. Coach you have to at least try and score the touchdown.
Outside of the SEC don't think there's much interest in tonight's BCS title game. LSU/Alabama.....I'm going with the Bayou Bengals.
Catching up on the news while I was gone and saw the story in the SMN about Metro Major Gerry Long leaving the department. All we can say to Chief Lovett is Really?
For my money the best restaurant anywhere is Joe's Stone Crabs in South Beach. We have our family reunion there each year. They don't take reservations. The wait this year was almost 3 hours....but worth it. Order the Stone crabs, Hash browns and Creamed spinach....you'll thank me later.
And the Falcons perfect play off record is intact. They were not competitive.
I spend much of my time on vacation at the races..horse races, that is. You know Thoroughbred Communications. Anyway they're racing at beautiful Gulfstream Park. Put that on your bucket list it's an experience. An even better experience when you win and this time good fortune smiled.
Enough about me let me know what's going on with you and have a great week.
