Hello Everybody,

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas..it's cold outside. Feels like Chanukah too. The Festival of Lights starts December 20th.

All excited about the start of the NBA season until Der Komissar, David Stern, vetoed the Chris Paul to the Lakers deal. This was a trade that not only helped the Lakers but made the other teams in the deal, New Orleans and Houston better. As a matter of fact The Hornets(N.O.) really got the better of the deal. And the thing that made this even more comical is that the league OWNS the Hornets. So because of this 3 teams are now in turmoil with opening day less than 2 weeks away. And so what was the lock out supposed to accomplish?

Great comeback by the Falcons yesterday putting them in prime play off position.

Another Republican debate and it looks like Mitt Romney made a critical mistake. "I'll bet you $10,000"....not something most of us can relate to. Maybe I'll bet you $100...but $10,000, don't think that will resonate with the Iowa caucus goers.

RG3 the Heisman Trophy winner. Well deserved and well spoken. Both RG3 and Andrew Luck could have been on the All Ameican debating team. And nice socks!!

And congratulations to the Savannah Christian Red Raiders. They are the state Class A Champs capping a perfect season.

Did you see where our fine folks in Congress decided to pass on legislation that would have prohibited them from dealing in Insider trading...only in Washington, D.C. where the rules, that you and I live under, do not apply.

Until next time..

Jerry

Hi Everybody,

He's back....It wasn't an official event with only a field of 18, but after 2 years, Tiger Woods is a winner again. A dramatic 18th hole birdie gave El Tigre the dramatic win.

Herman..we hardly knew you.  Herman Cain is out of the GOP race which may now be a 2 man race between Newt and Mitt. By the way do you know anyone named Newt or Mitt?

The 'Dawgs sure looked good for a half on Saturday. But then LSU started playing like the #1 team in the country. And they will likely beat Alabama again in the rematch that no one really wanted to see.

Props to GOP Presidential candidate Ron Paul who passed on the Republican debate that will be moderated by Donald Trump. This race has become enough of a circus without this sideshow. And now The Donald says he may get into the contest.

And after that performance against Clemson how does Virginia Tech get into a BCS game? Wouldn't once beaten Boise St. or teams like Baylor or anybody been a better choice?

Nice consolation prize for Georgia with a trip to the Outback Bowl to go up against Michigan St.

It's Tebow time and the Broncos did it again. Like the late Al Davis said "Just win baby." And that's what he does.

Very disappointing to see a Horse slaughter bill passed by Congress. It was even more disappointing to see our own Jack Kingston involved in the bills passage. I like Jack a lot as a person and a public servant. But I don't think this is his shining moment. I know, there are too many horses, but there are so many more humane ways to handle this situation. Let's leave the Horse slaughter to third world countries and eating horse meat to the French. Race tracks in the country are just now banning Horse slaughter. We don't need the government to undo those efforts and say it's okay to send Rachel Alexandra, Zenyatta and their brothers and sisters to the slaughter house. We are better than this.

Let me know what you think about this stuff and anything else..

Have a great week,

Jerry
