Hello Everybody,
And "The Heat Goes On"..where are Sonny and Cher when you need them? This heat just won't quit, since the 4th of July weekend we haven't been able to catch a break. And as warm as those ocean waters are we worry about an active Hurricane season. The beach surf was rough this weekend. Lot's of rescues by Tybee lifeguards.
18 over par, 30 strokes behind the winner, and only one player finished behind him at the World Golf Championship in Akron. We're talking about Eldrick "Tiger" Woods. How low can you go? Golf is a game that's between the ears and Tiger is proving it. His mind his not on the course. And next up the final major of the year, the PGA Championship.
If you're a cat lover read Jim Morekis's column in the latest Connect Savannah. It just may bring a tear to your eye. And speaking of Connect...Music editor Bill DeYoung(you hear him on the Q with the Connect Savannah Weekly Minute) stars in The Odd Couple this week, the 12th-15th, at the Muse.
We got our first Football fix last night but I can't get into pre season games...boring. I watched Yankees-Red Sox and then Mad Men. That series remains maybe the best on TV . As for Entourage it's coming close to "jumping the shark"....it's seen it's best days.
Great news this past week. The Rock 'N Roll Marathon is coming to Savannah...November, 2011. I really miss running, wish I could do it but this is going to be a great event.
And once again remember..THE BEACH IS NOT AN ASHTRAY. Whenever you see people flick their butts on the beach let them know...The Beach is not an ashtray.
Have a great week,
Jerry
