I'll start with music this time...I love the song "Windows Are Rolled Down" by Amos Lee.  I've heard several things from him and like all of it so far.  he's a wonderful artist!  He grew up in th Philly area, but is a graduate of the University of South Carolina!

I recently went to the Georgia Southern University Museum and checked out the Camp Lawton display.  If you are remotely into the Civil War, you will find this very interesting.  Check it out before it is gone.

Man is it hot!  I'm not a big fan of summer at all.  The way I see it is in winter you put on more clothes and eventually get warm.  In summer, you can only take off so many clothes before you get arrested for indecent exposure, and then you're in trouble...and still hot.  I'll take Fall, Winter, and Spring anytime over summer!

So 4 games into the NBA Finals and it's not over yet?  the Miami Heat are stacked and should have won it in 4...

Took the family to Georgia Southern's Arst Fest.  The weather was perfect and the kids loved all the activities.  It get bigger each year!

Another college season draws to a close...Butler / UConn...my bracket was busted after the first weekend.  Hats off to VCU for making the Final Four!  I love when the little guy gets in!

One more sports related thought...a good friend of mine, Brian Lee is writing a book on baseball in Savannah.  He could use any help you can give him like photos or maybe one of your grandparents might have a memory.  Check out his page on facebook.

First thing...Take time to thank our our parents and grandparents who fought in World War II and most of all those who perished on this day in 1941 at Pearl horbor.

Now on to other things...Jimmy Johnson winning his 5th Championship in NASCAR.  Five in a row is certainly amazing!  But when I hear people say he's approaching Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt's 7 Championships, I have to say it's a completely different era.  I'm not a big fan of the Chase for the Cup.  When Petty and Earnhardt were racing, it was points to the end of the season.  Now a team that has an average year and sitting in 10th-12th when the chase starts can win the championship when the person with the best season could lose out.

How about the Falcons!  10-2!  I'm still amazed how the national media doesn't give them much credit even though they lead the NFC!  Why is that?

Being a Viking fan, I'm highly disappointed by this season...lots of talent but falling VERY flat!

Don't forget, public ice skating starts at the Civic Center on Friday...take the kids, they'll love it...and start making plans for the Savannah Tire Hockey Classic in January!

Well, what a disappointment of a football season for me.  Dawgs...not so good and a gutwrenching loss on Saturday to Florida.  Vikings...not so good and I've secretly wishing that Favre would go ahead and retire midseason.  At least the Falcons are doing well and I hope they can continue!  And Fantasy Football...well, I'm in the cellar at 2-5 and after tonight, should be 2-6!  No playoffs for me!
