OK...I don't push other websites very often but I am going to make an exception here. Simply because the site I'm going to tell you about has a movie that everyone in America needs to watch. The site is saltymoss.com and is run by some friends of mine here in Savannah. The movie is called "Tradewind Memories". It was made by Cody Slatten, who is an extrordinary guy when it comes to film and TV. You may not know him but if you have watched a NASCAR race, you have seen his work...I'll leave it at that. But this movie needs to be seen by all Americans...it will make you want to go out and hug every veteran you can find and thank them for a job well done...whether they served in a war or during peacetime...from the last surviving World War I veteran to the guy in the recruitment office signing up today..and the weekend warriors who are in the reserves, although most are not weekenders anymore as they are getting called into action with frequency! You owe it to anyone who has ever served our country to watch this film. It is about 27 minutes long, but it is well worth the time!
Thanks Cody! |

Alright, for those of you that know me, you know that I've been a Minnesota Vikings fan since I was a kid...I think it was Fran Tarkenton that pulled me in...or the Purple People Eaters! I can always remember the helmet and jersey ordered from the JC Penny Christmas wish book. Growing up near Atlanta, all my friends had the Falcons. But not me...I've always been a Vikings fan. Even with the 4 Super Bowl losses! (At least the Vikings didn't do it 4 years in a row like the Bills)
Well the Vikings have a strong team...Great Defense, Good O-line, and the best running back in the NFL. Now the legend Brett Favre is with the Vikings! I realize that I was required by law as a Viking fan to hate him for years when he was with the Packers. But now, I have to love him! I can a trip to the Super Bowl! I know he's not the QB he once was, but he has to be better that what the Vikings had to work with! I am looking forward to the NFL Football season.
On a side note...I hope the Eagles lose every game this year. I do think that Michael Vick deserves a second chance. He served his time and seems to be remorseful. But that dosen't mean I have to like him or the team for which he plays. I was kinda wishing that he would go to the Packers or Bears because, again as a Viking fan I am required by law to hate those teams! It just would have made it easier for me!
Just my thoughts! GO VIKINGS!
